OCTOBER IS CELEBRATION TIME FOR SENIORS
The IAgeWell Lifestyle Festival and Expo is a major signature event on the Sunshine Coast and it is the largest event for Seniors in the region.
Established in 2017, the Festival combines fun and excitement with support for Seniors by way of a multi-purpose Expo, an annual Leadership Awards event and publication of the annual Lifestyle55+ magazine that recognises excellence and provides a directory of service organisations.
Founder and gerontologist Tanya Dave said the Festival was established in 2017 to empower, connect, inspire and inform our seniors on the Sunshine Coast. “Over the last five years, it has grown from strength to strength, attracting a large audience,” Tanya said.
“Each year, we take the opportunity to work closely with our over-60 community to build community engagement, and we collaborate with businesses to create unique opportunities to showcase their brand or service to their target audience. Our goal is to open the door to opportunity, challenge social norms that limit growth and hinder people’s potential to live life to the fullest. We strive to create a community where people not only age well, but thrive.

The IAgeWell Lifestyle Festival / Expo is a time for celebration, a time to promote healthy ageing by empowering, connecting, inspiring and informing our older community on the Sunshine Coast.
IAgeWell Director, Tanya Dave, said it’s a time to build strong partnerships with key community groups and attract as many people as possible to join in the celebrations linked with Seniors Month in Queensland.
“Part of the celebrations focuses on the Sunshine Coast Senior Leadership Awards that recognise the valuable contributions of our senior community”, Tanya said. “It’s all part of our mantra to: ‘Re-Imagine ageing and Embrace the possibilities in 2025’.”
The awards will be presented on the
International Day of the Senior when exhibitors and community leaders attend a morning high tea to acknowledging the valuable contribution of our award winners.
Sponsors will be given an opportunity to promote their brand by sponsoring and presenting an award.
